What is the recruitment process at Cafés Richard?

Every application is carefully reviewed. If a profile matches the job requirements, an initial phone or video interview is scheduled to better understand the candidate's background, motivations, and interest in the company. This exchange is also an opportunity for candidates to ask their first questions. If this initial contact is successful, an on-site meeting is arranged with the hiring manager, an HR representative, and sometimes a member of the Executive Board. Depending on the position, a case study or technical test may be included to evaluate specific skills. At the end of the process, a detailed job offer is presented, along with all the information needed to make an informed decision.

What does the onboarding process look like?

At Cafés Richard, onboarding is a crucial step. Every newcomer follows a personalized journey designed to introduce them to the company, our diverse roles, and our unique culture. This process includes training at our Académie du Café or the Espresso Service Technical Hub, meetings with various departments, and field immersion alongside a delivery driver or technician to meet our customers firsthand. This approach ensures everyone has the tools to succeed and feels confident within their role, their team, and the company at large. At the end of the process, a satisfaction survey completed by both the employee and their manager provides valuable feedback to continuously improve our onboarding experience.

Throughout the year, get-together events are organized by our Quality of Life at Work (QVT) team to strengthen team spirit through shared culinary, sporting, and festive moments. 

Our Social and Economic Committee (CSE) also contributes to this dynamic by regularly organizing group outings and activities.

What support is provided for skills development?

Skills development is directly aligned with our company’s strategic goals. We offer a wide range of training programs covering management, IT proficiency, sales force professionalization, CSR awareness, and health and safety regulations. Through our Académie du Café, employees can deepen their expertise in coffeeology, barista skills, latte art, and the world of teas and herbal teas. Technical training is also provided by our Expresso Service experts. Finally, a certification program (CQP) for coffee machine maintenance and repair is available to our technicians and team leaders, recognizing their expertise and supporting their career advancement.
